The visual effects, costumes, Eva Green's soulful delivery, and story-telling style are all in. But, the plot lacks spirit just like how empty and non-connecting is the performance of Sullivan Stapleton as the lead character Themistocles. 300: Rise of an Empire (2014) is less compared to the impact of its predecessor 300 (2006).
