Undeniably Disney in every way, this adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen exudes warmth with the captivating visuals of snow and vividly written screenplay. Frozen (2013) will make you forget the feelings you've had for the past animated films you saw this year. Certainly a best-animated-film material.

Turbo (2013) honestly falls behind The Croods (2013) due to its predictable plot, and behind Despicable Me 2 (2013) in terms of originality. The character design, animated effects, and voice talents are at par with the animated films that went out in 2013. This movie teaches us something and it could be an important factor for a possible nod from award-giving bodies. Not great nor utterly poor, but, enough to squeeze the tear glands--if you're not that hard. If you're that dreamer hoping to achieve your goals, Turbo (2013) will certainly push you to go further.

Epic (2013) starts off poised as an elegant tale with excellently drawn characters and setting. The visuals are rich and astounding as well as the sequences. However, the film fails to achieve hanging curtains to hide its predictability. Nevertheless, the morals and lovely characters lifts the movie to a status comparable to its sister films like Ice Age (2002) and Rio (2011).

Looks like the Academy Awards for Best Animated Film has an early front-runner--the one-to-beat. Packed with excellent animation and smart screenplay, this is the best movie of the month--surely, among the best of the year. Never a dull moment. Might consider paying more for the ticket after watching the film. If you want to enjoy with your loved ones, consider this and you won't regret.
